This is a genuine RAF Elapsed Time Clock by Smiths. It is aquality chronograph with a stop watch facility. It has a mechanical movement. This is the type of clock found in most cold war period RAF aircraft. The bakelite case is 2.2 5 inches square and in perfect condition with all the case screws present and original. The dial is black and marked "8 DAY". It is marked "Elapsed Time Clock MK 5 B", "AI/1OTFC/02", "281/68", Ref. No. 6A/4544008" and "SMITHS, MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN". It also has the label of the official repair centre of the RAF. The rear casing is impressed with the WD broad arrow. It is in beautiful condition, complete, original and appears to be in full working order. Both the chronometer and the separate stop-watch work. Weight 300 grams
