Raleigh Bomber 5speed with additional extras! I am selling my 5 speed Raleigh bomber as I can no longerkeep it in the house and I aint putting it in the shed! Have had this bike for the last 4 years and have used it primarily as a summer rides bike but also to the shops/pub. It was stripped back to the chrome that you see before I bought it and when polished up it sparkles a treat and is definitely a head turner. It has 26 inch rims with the original cheng shin tyres, the tread on both is fantastic with no bald spots, the amber walls on the rear tyre are cracking as seen in the pics but don’t require pumping up often. I haven’t pumped them up in the last 10 weeks and they are still holding the pressure. I put an early bomber brooks seat (slight nick in cover as shown in pic and a 1cm tear in top) with an early bomber seat post that has the rear reflector attached (these are rare) on as it didn’t have the original seat/seat post when I purchased it, you can pick up a late bomber seat off ebay if you want it stock but I prefer the earlier seat as it is wider and comfier. The only parts on this bike not original are the pedals, but these can also be picked up on ebay if wanted. In a nutshell: The bike has the original raleigh 26 inch rims as seen in the pics in very good condition, the frame has been took back to chrome and has some pitting but nothing a good rub down wouldn’t solve and has a set of wide bomber mud guards fitted, the brake cables are the original ribbed cables and all cable grips on the bike are original. This bike works as should and stops as should. I include the following extras in the sale with the bike Spare set of bomber handle bars with original foam grips, red caps and bike brake levers. Chrome on these is very good, was going to replace the bars on the bike to have it more stock as I don’t like the rubber grips currently on it. Spare set of front forks, these are for a super bomber but are a quick replacement if ever required, few scatches but in very good condition 1 x rear set of, I will call these forks that fit from the rear seat to the rear wheel hub, these are also from a super bomber and have the flat bridge for the brake calliper as fitting a late bomber, very good condition, few scratches. Set of front brake callipers, chrome not so good but come intact with spring and nuts and bolts, says sturmey on the red washer attached and is from a bomber. 2 x raleigh marked brake pads off another Raleigh bomber, in case you ever need to replace the ones on the bike sometime down the line and want original Raleigh products. 1 x red reflector in case you ever need to replace the one attached to bike 1 x additional bike brake lever, again off another bomber 1 x rear wheel plastic nut cover for fitting on single or speed bike for side opposite sturmey archer gears, off a 3 speed bomber 1 x bike tool Dynamo lights front and rear, both working and good period piece. Either keep the bike as it is or get it powder coated back to original black and silver, either way it’s a rare bike because it’s a 5 speed version and rarer as it is fully chromed with original cheng shin tyres and I haven’t seen another bomber like it. This bike is in very good condition and is a joy to ride. Any questions or if you want to view or require further pics please contact me.
