Randall 2x12 Guitar Cab Loaded With Vintage 1972 - Fane - Sound City SpeakersWell let's start with the cab.It is a standard Randall 2x12 (Model 212) Cab. It is very well built, absolutely solid. Nice easy grip handle on the top. Solid corners. Just generally very well constructed. There is some wear and tear on the cab, but very minor. See pictures.On the back of the cab is the standard 212 input panel. It is all fully wired and functional however because I installed different speakers the Ohm values are now different. The 4 Ohm input is actually 8 Ohm (Parallel)The 16 Ohm input is actually 32 Ohm (Series)The Stereo/Mono switch will flick between driving the speakers together (as per values above) or driving the speakers independently in which case you need to be supplying 16 OhmsSo..... let me talk about the speakers, as they are the pick of the auction!.............Loaded inside, are two excellent condition Fane Made, Sound City Dallas Arbiter 12" drivers. These are vintage 1972! Model number 122190. 40 Watt power handling, 15ohm impedance (rounded to 16 for all intents and purposes).These speakers are fantastic. They offer bright mid tones but also respond exceptionally well to lower driving. I haven't quite heard any speakers like them... although being Fane made, they do bare similarity to other Fane models of the era. Cash read more
