This no reserve offering is for a first series, first year of production, Rick Bowles Special (RBS) #027. Rick's guarded design Dealer Special was first offered in 1991 and this blade was received directly from him on 8/29/91. The first ten serial numbers of this edition commerated Rick's ten years of scrimshaw for RMK which makes this the 17th knife of the standard series; this knife has been discontinued with a total production of only 331. Blade is 5 1/2" upswept style stainless with thumb notches and a nickel silver single hilt; it is etched RBS 027 opposite the Trademark. T are aluminum and black spacers at each end of the massive amber stag handle and a duralumin but cap, with a thong hole, secured by a stainless domed hex nut. The mint sheath is a model "A" smooth back (Johnny) Johnson version with an unused orange hone marked "FINE INDIA - MADE IN U.S.A" in one line. It has the standard RMK logo and RBS on the rear. Rick advises that less than two dozen of these rare RBS sheaths exist. Both knife and sheath are 100% mint and still in the original tissue paper, white butcher paper, rustless compound and "sharpening instructions" as received from Dealer Bowles 16 years ago.
