Raquel Welch Check my other listings for many other toy and maquette items My crew and I have been sculpting action figures and other toys for more than 25 years. Toy manufacturers hire us to design and sculpt prototypes of all kinds of toys. Over the years I have accumulated quite a big pile of trophies. It's time to clear some of these things outta I will be selling off these art pieces as I unpack them and in no particular order. Our process was the same then as it is now -we start a figure in clay over a custom made armature built of plastic and wire, we then mold and cast the piece in wax for final detail sculpting and polishing. We then make a silicone mold to cast a urethane resin copy. The first copy goes to Hong Kong for tooling and production. A few more copies are cast for use as decoration approval samples or sales samples used at trade shows and commercial shoots. Ms Welch is a solid unpainted casting. she is over tall 9 1/2" tall as she stands in her bearskin two-piece The King of Diamonds is shown to indicate size. She was sculpted entirely by handby my crew and me in Northern California.
