Ultra rare, Early, Silver Hilted, German, Small Sword with Scabbard, Solingen Made! This spectacular example is one of the most beautiful swords that I have had the pleasure to offer! The workmanship and beauty to the silver pommel, guards and handle is just phenominal! (many more pictures are available, please forward your email). I believe this one may date to the early 1800s. The blade rates very good for its age and is marked "IHN _ _ SOLINGEN". T is a very slight bow in the blade(almost not visable, mentioned for accuracy) and some pitting and dark spots. The solid silver handle and guard rate excellent + with a dark patina and are slightly loose on the blade. The leather scabbard with silver fittings rate very good with some cracking and scrapes. The leather is very fragile and appears to have been folded(but is not broken thru).
