Rare Shirley Shaker letterhead and envelope from the 1880's. The letterhead is page 2 of a 2 page letter and is from Eld. John Whiteley. Whiteley was born in England and joined the Shakers with his wife and children. He quickly became a well known Shaker business leader and guided the Shirley community into the first years of the 20th Century. The letter is to a company in New Hampshire that made apple sauce firkins for various Shaker villages. Please Note: All the information needed to pay for this auction is in this listing.
