What a find. Up for auction, this rare military photograph of the 18th Balloon Company from 1919. Bottom of picture reads," THE 18TH BALLOON CO. A.E.F. 4/7/1919 PHOTO BY HOLLADAY NEWPORT NEWS VA. # 3731 ". This photo was not messed with, straight out of the estate. measures 21 1/4" X 9 1/4", solid wood frame. Even shows the mascot. I also see patches on the some uniforms of a wing with what looks like a wheel or something, and the center fella has a pair of wings coming together with a balloon in the center.
