These are guaranteed old, genuine and original, circa 1915, and are wonderful, very rare. They show a native american indian chief in full eagle feather warbonnet or headdress and long loose hair and stoic, strong features, in a set of original bookends.. Heavy, heavy cast iron at 15 pounds per pair and measuring 7 inches tall, these are huge. And they say SITTING BULL clearly across the front of each one. The paint is all original, every bit, and it is t, very little paint loss, just fading and discoloration with the past 100 years and wonderful. They are painted in the face with red paint, old red bronze paint, like the old "red man" description from that time. The eagle feather warbonnet is old leaded silver paint with red trim and the base has the same red trim and the hair, long and loose, is black. The features are wonderful and they have no damage at all. You won't find a better pair than these, I dont' think. Thanks for looking and please see my other auctions for more antique and vintage cast metal bookends and doorstops that I will combine on shipping whenever possible.
