Tarzan-Jesse Marsh Four Color #161, page 26 Original Art (Dell, 1947). Tarzan watches helplessly while Queen Ahtea sacrifices a victim to the Fires of Tohr, in this fearsome page by Jesse Marsh. This page has an image area of 16" x 23.25". The splash panel you see in the photo is Marsh's replacement which he glued on the original drawing. This is the way you would see it in the comic book. Both panels are t, although the redraw has become loose. I didn't want to reglue it so it will come separately. I think Marsh should have kept the original drawing as it has Tarzan in it, but it is super cool to be able to see both concepts. The fourth photo is of the original splash. Overall the art is in very good condition . I found two pages from Four Color #161 Tarzan that were sold at Heritage Auctions in 2004. Page 4 brought over 600 dollars and page 36 bought close to 500 dollars. This is a true classic and as such it should be a great addition to your collection. Thanks, Sheila P.S. is a great website on Jesse Marsh. /artists/m/marsh_jesse.htm
