's A "Central", 4 Transistor & A "Universal", Model "PTR-62B" Transistor Radio!!! Please see the pictures at the bottom of the auction text. They are an important part of the item's description... Please read and understand the auction text completely before bidding... I have just found my second box full of early transistor radios. These are two of many old transistor radios that I collected about fifteen years ago. I will be auctioning off all but a few. They have been in dry storage for about ten years. I hate to part with them but it's time for them to go to new owners. 1. Central: The off/on & volume switch feels great, no excess play. Same goes for the station selector. The case has no cracks or chips & shows only light surface wear from being in its original case. (I believe that these light imperfections can be buffed/polished out if done carefully.) No dents or dings on the speaker grill. The case could use a light cleaning. The inside of the radio is nice and clean, no signs of t being a leaky battery ever being in the radio. As you can see in the pictures, t is a chip of red paint missing on the middle of the station dial and t's some black ink(?) on the bottom of the dial covering the letters, "E & part of the "D" in the word "Transistorized". I have tested the radio with a new 9v battery and do not hear anything. read more
