For auction we have this AUTENTHIC and VINTAGE Aviation 18K GOLD WINGS Insignia which was issued for an employee or pilot of 1st Cuban Civil AIRLINE âeoeCACâe (COMPANIA AEREA CUBANA), which was founded in 1919. This SUPER RARE and ORIGINAL WINGS Badge combines on frontside the CAC-initials and Cuban COAT OF ARMS. This SUPER RARE AVIATION WINGS was made of 18K GOLD material which is hallmarked on backside. The FANTASTIC and GENUINE AVIATION Insignia Item measures 17 millimeter in height and is in GOOD condition: some wear. Background: Aprovechando la bonanza económica del país, se constituye en octubre de 1919 la primera empresa de aviación de Cuba, la Compañía Aérea Cubana (C.A.C), fundada por el millonario, entusiasta de la aviación y hombre de negocios cubano , Anibal J.de Mesa, quien empleó a Agustín Parlá como Gerente General. La C.A.C tenía seis aviones Farman, traídos a Cuba en barco. Estableció varios servicios, como los de escuela con Farman F-40, vuelos de observación alrededor de La Habana, investigaciones y fotografía aérea.
