This auction is for a special clock person who likes to tinker. Found in a box packed away for years at an Estate Sale is a very fine rare antique all original E N Welch 8 day time/strike/chime steeple clock. It has a beautiful rare carving design around the door, and face of the clock on the front with original glass top and bottom. Nice original condition with nice early original zinc dial. Has a wonderful sounding chime. These 8-day steeples are fairly scarce. I do have the pendulum or the key but both springs are in tacked. Nice rare green label says 8-day brass clocks E.N. Welch Forestville CT. with directions. This clock has everything going for it regarding its antique status. The brass works is stamped E N Welch Forestville CT. USA. This clock has great patina. Little steeple has some slight chips, but certainly a well above average condition antique steeple clock. Wonderful piece of history & great for any clock collection!
