An original 19th century antique ivory rule marked by the Hubbard Hardware Company of Middletown Ct No 38. Rule is made of ivory and German silver (nickel) and has a sliding caliper at one end. Condition - some wear from normal use as shown and some age cracking evident only when viewed from the thin sides which does not effect its stability as rule is tight and works fine. A rare and fine antique ivory rule which is fresh to the market from an old estate.
