You are looking at a very rare antique Japanese Banko ware old man figural incense holder that measures 3 1/4"H x 3 1/4"W x 3 1/2"D. The censer consists of vivd shades of blue, green, and brown shiny glazing on matte bisque ground and is an overall very high-quality work of art. The old man appears to be sitting and holding a pipe, w the expression of his face is very realistic. This rare piece is signed on the bottom, "Made in Japan" and probably dates back to 1900-1920s.
