This is a stunning and very rare example of an early antique "Brameld" Majolica Plate, ..... dating from circa. 1830. The plate is decorated with a relief moulded border of a very intricate and exquisite design, ... then finished in a rich glaze typical of majolica wares. John Brameld worked for the "Rockingham Works" ... one of the top quality English factories of the early 19th century. He died in 1851 ... his work is very collectable, due to it high quality and rarity. The plate is in very good condition. T are no cracks or chips. No repairs. T are a couple of small flakes to the glaze on the rim edge, ... these are minimal and commensurate with age. Diameter : 8.7 ins. / 22.2 cms.
