RARE Antique NATIONAL INDIAN HEAD Cooking Crock w/ Bail
Up for auction is an extraordinary RARE Antique Crock Baking or Cooking Dish by National Stoneware. The bottom has a large Indian Head with "National"on the left, all pressed into the pottery. Based on the pattern around the edges, I would think this may have been designed for some cooking use. It is 10 inches in diameter and about 3 1/4 inches deep. It flares out a bit and has a nice wire bail in order to carry it. The inside has a dark brown glaze. I do not believe this has been used much, if ever. T are no chips or cracks, just some very minor imperfections on the lip on one side. I've owned this for a long time but don't know its age. I paid a lot of $$$ for this one (way more than the starting price) and have had collectors admire it in my home for years. It will surely be a nice addition to your collection! Please check out my other crock or stoneware listings! Payment should be made in full within SEVEN days from end of auction by PayPal or Money Order.
