You are bidding on a great miniature vintage red spongeware splatterware stoneware jug. This is from the late 1800's or early 1900's.This beautiful example of miniature vintage stoneware piece is only 3 1/2" high and in excellent condition. This miniature whiskey or wine jug has no chips, cracks, or other damage. It has a slightly ribbed finish by design and is truly rare and unique. Our research has indicated that these jugs were used to give samples of a pub's spirits to customers or as gifts so few survived.
