This auction is for an extremely rare Blakely Oil & Gas Company electric lamp. Blakely was prevalent in AZ during the 1950s and early 1960s. I have collected Blakely for over 20 years and this is only the 3rd such lamp that I have ever seen. It has the Saguaro Cactus on it just like the Blakely glasses. I had heard that maybe each of the 88 gas stations had one of these. It has a copper bottom and is about 12 inches tall and about 3 inches in diameter. The lamp part with the Saguaro Cactus is actually heavy plastic. The lamp works excellent. Buy this for your Blakely collecting family member for Christmas.
