This extremely rare blue linen beadspread commemorating Charles Lindbergh's flight to Paris is fresh from a New England estate! This extremely rare beadspred was found folded in a box in the attic w it had probably been for close to 80 years! This blue beadspread measures approx. 7' 6" wide x 8' 10" long and appears to be made of linen. This beadspread must have been made in 1927 shortly after Charles Linbergh flew from New York to Paris in the "Spirit of St. Louis" becoming the first person to successfully fly an airplane accross the Atlantic ocean. The beadspread features the "Spirit of St. Louis" as well as the "Eiffel tower" and the "Statue of Libery" and the words "New York" & "Paris" and the date "1927". Picture number 2 shows the beadspread folded in half over a clothesline. This rare beadspread has been folded in a box for mare than 80 years and t is some very slight discoloration or slight yellowing on the folds ( most of the slight discoloration is on the underside of the beadspread).. The top of the beadspread is in extremely good condition! Buyer pays shipping & insurance.
