Rare CONFEDERATE Louisville KY 1861 Civil War Newspaper is a complete, genuine historic newspaper with the following title, date and description: LOUISVILLE DAILY COURIER , Louisville, Kentucky., June 14, 1861. * Rare title from the Confederacy * Battle of Big Bethel * Louisiville KY During the Civil War Louisville was mostly a Yankee-held city, but it was under Confederate control from the outbreak of the Civil War until mid-September, 1861, meaning it was a Confederate town for just five months. Rare to find issues from this narrow "Confederate window" but is one.
