Rare CORO Corocraft Sterling KATZ Carnegie Hall VIOLIN by Adolph Katz Presented for your consideration is one of the most beautiful pieces of vintage jewelry that I have seen in almost forty years of collecting! It is a goldplated Sterling silver Brooch "inspired by Carnegie Hall" and designed by Adolph Katz for Coro/ CoroCraft. The brooch is a miniature replica of a violin and is so well-crafted it will amaze you. It is hard to imagine how so much detail could be put into something that is only 3.25" long x 1 1/8" wide x 5/8" deep! I love all of the old Corocraft but this is truly the finest- a small sterling sculpture to wear! This brooch is in excellent vintage condition with no dents or dings and no repairs- all in original condition with the exception of the large green rhinestone which appears to have been replaced at some time. On the pin's back is a plaque with the words "Sterling", "Coro" in large slanted type and "Craft" in small printed type, and the Pegasus symbol. This brooch was made in 1940's and is is crafted in heavy sterling and is gold-plated with no loss to the plating. The patent was filed by Adolph Katz on Aug. 12, 1947 . The Patent Design no. is 147,274. The "Carnegie Hall Jewely by Coro" advertisement states that "Coro brilliantly, extravagantly interprets the musical mood with jewelry that's an overture read more
