Rare antique iron says " The Akron Lamp Co. Akron Ohio Made In U.S.A. Diamond Self Heating Iron " on the top. I believe this iron heated using Kerosene, and is circa 1890's . It measures about 10 inches in length including the ball. I did not try to use it, and buyer assumes all responsibility if they are crazy enough to try to use it. T is wear, use, age, rusting, and loss. I don't see anything broken on it. The burner inside comes out and appears to be complete. I did not try to polish off the tarnish and rust, but it could be cleaned up. This is a rare and hard to find iron. High bidder pays shipping and insurance. I charge actual shipping and insurance, and do not add a handling fee. Shipping is normally by USPS Priority Mail. Money order/cashiers check ships upon receipt, and personal check ships after clearing. Pa. residents add 6% sales tax. Email with any questions.
