This is a very early piece of pottery that remains in excellent condition. I believe it to be rare and from around the 1880s. Pictured on one side is a mother and father sitting at a table giving their child a drink (he or she is standing), while an older woman looks on. The other side features a woman and a man standing at a gate . The pictures are raised and tinted with the blue paint. The top rim has a floral embossment as well as the handle. The bottom of the pitcher also has a raised embossment but with a design. This pitcher is in mint condition. The only marking is a number 5 on the bottom. This sizeable pitcher measures 9 1/2" inches tall, the diameter at the opening is 4 1/2" inches. No repairs, very slight rim ware. Bid with confidence on this piece. Thanks for looking and please ask any questions prior to bidding.
