At auction we are offering this very interesting lantern with anOrange glass filter on the light. As the photos show, the side panels,and the back panel can be raised and lowered (or removed altogether).On the back mounting handle is stamped 1936,a stylized bird and a number 7. On the body itself is written D.R.P. 395351. and the words F.F.A. SCHULZE, BERLINThe number 7 1/2 is stamped on the small porcelin and metal object below the bulb.I did not plug it in, since the cord is in poor condition, as shown, so I do not know if the bulb would work. I was tempted, but thought better of it!I find this lamp absolutely fascinating, and wish I could find out more about it. Since I could not find one like it, any information would be gratefully accepted!
