The auction is for an UNUSUAL FIGURAL CRYSTAL DUCK . This attractive salt was gracefully molded, and has just the right amount of detail to accent its curved lines. The eyes and beak are very nicely done. The sides feature wings and feet. It is in excellent estate condition with only the very slightest roughness on a small portion of the inside edge of the bowl. EXCELLENT ESTATE CONDITON : New or used, not quite perfect, and may have very minor production and age related imperfections that will be noted. I make every effort to describe, as best I can, each item. Antique and collectible items are so personal and unique. Each collector has their own acceptable level of "wear and tear" . What may be damage for me, may not for you. Please ask questions, look at pictures and request more pictures if necessary. The crystal duck salt is featured in the Pressed and Pattern Glass section of "The Open Salt Compendium," Plate 788 and "5,000 Open Salts," No. 4677. The maker is unknown, but likely foreign, circa1920's. Both references list the salt as RARE . This little guy is approximately three inches long, one and five eights of an inch wide and one and three quarters of an inch high.
