This large hard to find 1930's Kookaburra on a log art pottery figurine was done by the famous Australian studio potter Grace Seccombe. Grace was born in Staffordshire, England but came to Australia in the early 1900's. By the 1930's she was a well respected arts and crafts potter producing hand crafted wares till her death in 1956. This beautifully modelled and hand painted figure stands 6 1/2" tall x 5 1/2 wide. The base is signed Grace Seccombe NSW along with a hand written paper label - No. 50 Grace Seccombe. Great condition with the exception of a small chip on the tail (not distracting). Very minor crazing which is typical of her work. Grace Seccombe's work can go for thousands of dollars in her native Australia, so don't hesitate bid now and add this very desirable piece to your collection. Shipping & handling is $10.00 in the US, insurance is Optional but highly recommended. Payment by check or money order should be received within 7 days. I also accept Shipping and insurance are paid by the buyer. I only refund if the item is grossly misrepresented, shipping and insurance is non-refundable. Thanks!!
