A rare Griffen fruit jar, aqua, a little over a quart capacity, swirls and bubbles in glass, "3" embossed on base, the only damage is a small chip on ground lip and some minor rust under both knobs on neck to hold clamp on. The lid is also aqua, is in good condition, and is embossed on the top, "Griffen's Patent Oct 7 1862". The metal clamp is missing, but it is still an early, very crude looking canning jar, a great addition to any collection! Please note that old glass can crack or break when exposed to quick extreme temperature changes, such as could possibly occur during shipping. For this reason, I take extra care in packaging old glass and require insurance with the shipment.SELLER'S POLICY: Any questions please ask before bidding.
