This piece comes from the estate of a university of Georgia professor. It belonged to his maternal grandfather in Helena Arkansas. The grandfather was a prominent real estate broker in Helena and owned several pieces that were high end at the time. The Handel Company makes this humidor. This is thesame company that is known for making high-end lamps during the sameperiod. The piece shows a hand painted shriners logo on one side, a camel and rider on the other side and a shriners hat on the top. The grandfather was very involved in the masons. The box is in good condition t are no chips, cracks, or repairs to the jar. It is signed #2379/194. The lid is attached with decorated brass bands. This Handel humidor would be a great addition to anyone's collection. Circa 1900.
