Great pair of vintage Parzinger style floor lamps/torchieres made by Stiffel, circa 1950's-60's. These lamps are not very common, & a pair is really hard to come by. Beautiful greek key design with polished brass bowl shade & stem switch. The stem switch is a very cool convenience I have only seen on Stiffel Lamps. Basically, you just grab hold of the silver stem & pull down to turn the lamp on & off. T is also a 3-way button switch on the brass shade, so you can adjust the intensity of the bulb. All works fine. It appears one of the sockets has been replaced. Condition of both lamps is very good vintage. The brass shades are highly polished & are in remarkable condition. T are just a few light scratches & a couple of tiny dings, insignifigant IMO. The other brass parts show typical age patina, the worst being the bases with some spotting & plating loss, but still look good. The stems are fluted metal-silver colored. It looks like tarnished silver plating, but it may just be steel. One of the stems has a slight ding in it, but again, no big deal. All in all, they are very nice working lamps & very presentable as is. 61 1/2" tall each. No reserve! Be sure to see my other listings this week for more Mid Century & Danish Modern items.
