Beautiful Limoges 13pc Ice Cream Set - Platter with 12 dishes Fantastic Limoges Ice Cream Platter with 12 individual matching dishes - marked A. Klingenberg and Dwenger. It is VERY RARE to find such a complete AK Limoges Set, but this has been in our family since the early 1900s so has stayed very well protected. We have decided to share this marvelous set with others who will find joy in collecting Limoges porcelain. The lovely Limoges Ice Cream Platter measures 16" X 9.5" by 2" and each Ice Cream Dish measures 7" round. The exquisite pieces are decorated in a vibrant blue turquiose background with delicate pink flowers - each petal trimmed in gold. The scallopped edges of each piece is covered with incredible gold detailing. None of the 13 pieces have damage, cracks, repairs or utensil marks. Each piece is marked on the bottom with two marks - first, a red circle with LIMOGES FRANCE surrounding and an AK over CD in the center, and second, a green 7-point star with FRANCE written inside and Limoges written just below. The AK over CD denotes the decorating mark of A. Klingenberg and Dwenger c1900-1910. A. Klingenberg began a Limoges porcelain factory and decorating studio in the early 1880s. The company merged with Charles Dwenger's decorating studio between the late 1890s and early 1900s, then closed in 1910. In our research, read more
