Rare Mortons Studio Bedlington Terrier NO RESERVE This is a wonderful example of the quality work that Mortons Studio did with dogs. Mortons was one of the few really good American manufacturers of dog figurines and went out of business in the 1950's. Headquartered in California, they worked with plaster of paris over a wire mesh, so collectors of Mortons have to accept crazing, crackling and even cracks because, as the plaster of paris dried, and aged, that is what sometimes happened to it. This rare Bedlington Terrier, is not only a rare breed but a very rare collectible and has the original Mortons Royal Design label still applied. Royal Design was Mortons prestigue line.
