Alien's Head" Statue Carving Amulet was carved from a piece of fine-grained old nephrite jade about 5500 to 6000 years ago. It is in very excellent condition as you can tell from the photos. This item reflects Neolithic Hongshan people's advanced carving skill and religion. As you can see from above photos, it shaped a C-Dragon with a very unique alien-like head. Large bulgy eyes, wide mouth, even two horn with a hole. As we know, almost all the hongshan carvings are very strange. So do this one. Researches indicate (based on artifact evidence ) that the Hongshan employed advanced jade shaping and carving tools that may have been made from meteorite material. Another fascinating observation through the study of Hongshan jade artifacts is the abundance of "Alien" like motifs and figurines that are completely unexplainable as they are not found in other Neolithic Cultures.
