That Selling Place This auction is for two Royal Dresdner Art Panel Scalloped Salad Plates by Schumann Bavaria These items are very rare , Square Plates from the Carl Schumann Factory in Dresden, Germany. Each exquisite salad plate is embossed art work with a floral and scroll rim and a bouquet center This particular floral pattern is recorded as " Floral Pattern Number Three" From corner to corner, each plate is 9 7/8" and 8 1/2" straight across the middle. Both plates are in MINT, PERFECT CONDITION. Hand painted in the Meissen tradition, the floral displays and gold work are in pristine condition. The Blue marking on the back is pre- WWII and the very fine Gold Crown and Signature of Carl Schumann adds additional distinction. The marking on the back also indicates that all of these patterns were under the Royal Dresdner Art Series. These plates are originals, not modern reproductions This is a fabulous pair for the collector and a definite must-have purchase!
