ITEM: Possible Roseville or even Brush McCoy Pottery covered ginger jar SIZE: 7.75" tall to top of finial MARKS: wax crayon number and remnants of the original label CONDITION: one small glaze skip on base- see photo- this was a factory done and completely smoothe to the touch- not a chip or nick; otherwise this jar is in VERY good condition NOTES: matches shape in THE COLLECTOR'S ENCYCLOPEDIA OF ROSEVILLE by Huxford- Volume I, page 95, plate 80; they do list the size as 9"; Roseville assigned factory numbers their pieces, but actual size can and quite often do vary; glaze in a very beautiful sea green with a deeper turquoise overglaze; matte finish; no reserve!!!
