Presenting a RARE Sebastian Miniature from 1953. The Limited Edition Open-Mouth Lion (SML 227), 6th in the Series from General Foods advertising for Jell-O that says on a ribbon banner at the bottom of the piece "Everyone Roars for Jell-O". The black & silver label on the underneath bottom says "Sebastian Miniatures, Designed by Prescott W. Baston, Marblehead, Mass". The Lion overall is in excellent condition especially for being over 50 years old. Besides the foil label on the bottom being torn, the only other thing I see are the ribbons that tie up the banner around the bottom might be missing part of a ribbon or a ribbon loop (see photos - really hard to tell). Other than that, his ears, his teeth, his nose, his mane, his body, the Jell-o banner - everything is free of chips or cracks. He is a very special Sebastian Miniature !!!
