Up for auction is this rare Antique Cookie Jar from the 1950's, and fresh from a local Beloit Estate Auction This vintage antique cookie jar is in wonderful condition with no cracks, chips or repairs. The cookie jar has minor glaze crazing from years of use. The bottom is unmarked, but I was told this was made by Royal Haeger in 1953.... I am no expert and have not located it in any reference book. The unique cookie jar measures 11 1/4" to the top of the siamese cat, 10 3/4" wide and 5" deep. The item has a tag attached at the auction that stated Cat at Fish Bowl Cookie Jar- 1953 - Royal Haeger Pottery. The main jar is in the shape of a Fish Bowl and the lid has a ish for a finial. Standing next to the fish bowl cookie jar is a detail glaze siamese cat with detailed blue eyes.
