Up for auction is a #1283 "Victor" Try & Mitre square. According to Walters 1996 2nd edition book, page 601, manufactured 1937 only. 7 1/2" blade, 5" handle. Construction: steel blade, tropical hardwood handle, brass trim. Illustrated in a scarce flier for the "Victor" tool line c. 1937. Has full lacquered handle, and no evidence of ever being blued.
