RARE TALL RORSTRAND SWEDEN ART POTTERY VASEUp for bidding is a beautiful green vase created by an unknown artist for Rörstrand and made in Sweden. The piece has a bulbous body that is intentionally distorted with a long thin neck and is decorated with an impressed design element under a deep, rich high gloss glaze. The piece appears to have originally been used as a lamp base and has a post firing hole at the base. The vase is in overall very nice condition with no chips and only a very small hairline that runs on the rim. The base has ground and rough areas from removal of post firing glaze runs and is marked "MADE in SWEDEN, two crowns and Rörstrand". Around the edge t appears to be an impressed "3 (or Z) and an R" and four other illegible characters. Please see photos. Dimensions: The vase is approximately 14.5 inches in height and 6.0 inches at its widest. Shipping (double boxed) with insurance within the US will be $17.00.
