For your bidding pleasure I have a RARE 1st and only printing Door Handbill/Program in NR Mt condition from The Band's The Last Waltz concert at Winterland held on Thanksgiving November 25, 1976. Size is round and approx. 6" in diameter. These Door Handbills are very rare as they were only distributed to patrons of the show had a greeting from Bill and all the turkeys as well as giving a rundown on the events of the evening and w the food would be served. What started out as a concert ended up being a celebration with many of the biggest stars of the day joining with The Band to celebrate what was billed as their last show together. They invited people with whom they had played over their long and storied career and some special friends. Martin Scorcese ended up filming the event and it became a major motion picture release. Winterland was transformed into an elegant venue with crystal chandeliers, red curtains, golden pillars and a full Thanksgiving dinner served to all who attended. I took a few photos of the performers and those are what you see surrounding the handbill, they are not included in the auction. This Handbill is a must have for any collector of The Band memorabilia or Bill Graham fans! This was touted as the last great concert. These are very difficult to find and although Wolfgang's Vault is the best place to find read more
