This is a rare unpainted blank latex casting of THE HIDEOUS SUN DEMON as seen in the classic low-budget 1959 monster romp. It's a thick latex unpainted mask/ bust. It came from a mold off of an authentic, original mask from the movie, courtesy of Famous Monsters Magazine editor Forrest J. Ackerman back in the late 1980s. It's untrimmed and designed as a display piece. Since it came from a re-molding, it's a bit smaller than the original and probably couldn't be worn as a mask unless you have a smaller than average head size. It does, however, look realistic at this size and would work great on a display mannequin type figure. Meaning, it looks like an adult sized head but not oversized enough to work as a mask for most people. It looks so cool as a bust that I recommend leaving it untrimmed and keeping it as a display piece anyway. The casting is nice and thick and is made of finest quality, long-lasting RD407 latex, widely known as the best grade of latex for collector quality masks and props. It has already been dremmeled/ seamed and requires no further prep work.... it's ready to be customized with your own paint job. It does contain some small flaws, namely tiny holes and t caused by air bubbles in the latex back when it was cast. These are very small and will not detract from the look of the finished piece, as they won't read more
