This is an EXTREMELY SCARCE and RARE physician's sample size UNOPENED and FULL container of Mead Johnson's Pablum precooked cereal for babies and convalescents. This container and label are complete and are in excellent condition considering its age. (Around early 1930's). T is just light wear in a few small areas, otherwise all writing is legible. This famous Pablum cereal was made by Mead Johnson and Company. Pablum was the WORLD'S FIRST PRE-COOKED FORTIFIED CEREAL (as can be verified by mead johnson's website!) If you would like to learn more about the history you can look up "Pablum" in Wikipedia on the internet. This container is a very thick cardboard-like container and is complete with no openings or holes. When shaken, you can hear the dry cereal inside. The label has LOTS of info such as ingredients, preparation instructions, as well as detailed food value and analysis--pretty "high-tech" for back in its day. It measures 2 1/2 in. tall and 2 in. in diameter. This is Definitely a rare advertising collectible you just CAN'T pass up!!!! You will not see many of these --I can promise!!!!!!!!!!
