Hard to find Tank Bank mfgd. by the Wellmade Doll Company of New York City. This is printed (embossed) on one side of the tank. On the other side it reads "M.N.R. Made in USA". Circa 1940's? These old banks are rare because they had to be destroyed to get the money out. T is a slit to put coins in but no opening to get them back out! This nice collectible is made of molded composition, a paper mache type of material. It has its original green paint. It is in excellent condition! 6 1/2" long and 2 3/4" wide. If you are looking for something different in a bank, this may be for you. This is one bank that survived while most of the others got smashed! Check out my other items !
