RARE WW2 GERMAN DEATH CARD for FLIEGER KORPS ! WW2 German Death Prayer Memorial Remembrance Card Rare Vorarbeiter Franz Niedermaier, Flieger Abteilung in the Flieger Korps. After a long illness, he died 11:30am, 27 June 1943. He was 36. Nice Flieger Korps uniform photo. Back of card has Jesus. Out of probably 3000 cards I have owned, this is the only one I have had for a Flieger Korps member.Prayer cards are a Roman Catholic tradition. They are given to those who attend the funeral and sent to those unable to attend as a remembrance. They were produced in quantity. It is common to encounter cards that were carried in a Bible or a wallet. In German, they are called Sterbebilder .Guaranteed original - over 60 years old. This card contains NO offensive symbols and is sold for historical purposes only. No sales to Germany, Austria, Italy, France because eBay does not allow it.
