WWII 2 piece Camouflage Uniform USMC worn on Pacific Island - RARE! Extremely rare Marine Corps Camouflage (2 sided) in almost perfect condition worn at the landing in Tarawa. Rubberized paint used to cover names before the landing. This belonged to Robert S. Grogins who was wounded on Tarawa. Hole in the blouse was w he was hit by machine gun fire. Medium Size (believe) - this is perfect for display purposes. Only worn on one campaign. He was with the 2 nd Marine Division. Included with this is a piece of pup tent material (same period), that could be used to repair blouse. Uniform parts most desirable from a veteran of one of the Marine Corps most important WWII battles. Includes smallbelt pouch with his name on it (not shown in picture).
