A rare World War 2 US Army 3rd Armored Division 83rd Recon Battalion uniform grouping. The lot includes: 4 pocket tunic with insignias, overseas hat, and some extra patches. The wool 4 pocket jacket uniform coat has: a cut edge 3rd Armor patch, embroidered on wool Sergeant SGT rank patches, screw back US collar disk, screw back Armor collar disk, 4 plastic covered ribbons, Carbine qualification (rifle) badge, and a pair of pin back 83rd Recon BN "ADVANCE" DI's. The wool jacket is a size 37R and QM tag dated 1942. The tunic is in good shape. The overseas hat with green and yellow piping is included. It is marked Size 7. It is in good condition. The lot also includes a Service Command patch and 2 wool Private rank patches. A nice addition to any uniform or military collection.
