WWII era SPIT FIRE 2-piece Punch Board with excellent colorful graphics, moving metal propeller and a glass plate with a decal on the reverse depicting an artillery barrage (the glass is in great condition, no cracks or surface scratches)! This board would have cost you 5 cents for a chance to win up to 20 dollars! The board has approx. 1848 holes plus 24 holes in the plastic covered "BARAGE" area on the lower board and 40 holes on the upper board on the front of the "BOMBER". One hole in the "BOMBER" has been punched (not by me...although I was tempted), so I am not sure what falls from those holes when they are punched and drops down through the series of nails under the glass and falls out through the cutout at the bottom center of the upper board. The lower board has slot machine type payoffs, i.e. two cherries and a bell would pay 20 cents. The writing on the boards fully describes the payoffs and how one will "ADVANCE" to have the opportunity to punch in the big awards "BOMBER" area! The back of the upper board has an unopened flap that is secured with a staple at the bottom. The lower board is unpunched, although 3 of the holes have the foil covering them partially torn. T is a 2.5 x 3 inch serial number label on the rear with a lions head on it. The sealed area for the punch has been opened although the punch is still inside read more
