This auction is for: RAY CHARLES ANIMATED Swing and Sway Doll Ray plays the piano and sings two different songs: "What'd I Say" and "America The Beautiful" Ray sings, sways and plays the keyboard withAnimatronic motion. Mouth is synchronized to the music.Hands move up and down on the keyboard.Head and body sway back and forth, just like Ray." Little Ray " does a signature move at the end of each song. MINT CONDITION Looks and works like NEW. Outer box has few scuffs and a crease at top front. (See PHOTO # 4 at right.) Uses 4 size AA Batteries -not included.Soft rubber pads on base to protect your table-top. Issued as a commemorative for Ray Charles' 30th Anniversary of recording "America The Beautiful" in 1972.17" tall with very cool fabric outfit -satin black and metallic silver pattern jacket over red shirt; black tie, pants and shoes. Still in Box with original protective packing brace. On one side of box is a photo of Ray Charles with "Little Ray" and a narrative about Ray Charles and the song "What'd I Say" (which came out in 1959). The other side of the box shows a photo of Ray alongside "Little Ray" and a narrative about "America the Beautiful" which he released as a single in 1972. The back of the box has quotes from the people involved in the creation of this wonderful tribute to Ray Charles, Showcase Enterprises, Oak Lawn, Illinois.
