Hello, is a classic RCA 9T five band Tombstone, that plugs in to operate on 110-120 volts AC. I tried it for a number of hours and it worked fine, receiving stations all across the AM band, I was able to pick up some shortwave stations on a couple of the other bands. For an antenna, t is about a eight foot piece of wire, so I'd assume it would be possible to pick up more stations with a longer antenna. T is no excessive hum - all AC radios have a small bit - but it should not be heard at even low volume. The volume control is a bit touchy, possibly it needs cleaning or something. T are five controls, from left to right, on/off, tone, tuning, bandswitch, tone. This is a awesome radio, the size, the style, the tuning dial - AND - how the dial works. As you look at the dial, you see only one band - but when the knob is rotated, the dial scale rotates - off center, and the appropriate numbers show !! I have never seen this before. (this is as neat as a Zenith Shutter Dial) T is a tuning eye, and it opens and closes as stations are tuned in. And, the name for the tuner - Magic Brain ! The size is about 17 inches wide, 22 inches tall, and about 12 inches deep. And, this piece of vintage quality tips the scale at over 40 pounds. This radio is sold as described, as is, like all vintage electronics. As mentioned it appears to work fine, but read more
