RCA Victor Model 45-HY-4 Table Top 45 rpm Record Player - Automatic Changer Chassis No. RS-140B is a very clean condition early automatic 45rpm player from about 1955. The brown bakelite case is in quite nice condition with no chips, cracks, or breaks that I can see. T are a few minor scratches that could probably be buffed out with the proper cleaners/polishes. Lid stays up with nice locking support arm. In that t is no handle on the cabinet, I am thinking that this unit was made for table top useage, NOT a portable. Has built in speaker/amplifier and t is a neat little Jewel on top of case with pilot light to let you know machine is on if lid is closed. The mechanism is of the RP-190 series. Has slide type power/reject lever on changer baseplate. Black plastic tone arm with cartridge/needle. Not sure if cartridge/needle is original or not, but volume is low so will probably need replacing. Amplifier sounds good with no buzzing or humming coming from speaker. Has volume and tone controls on right side with original RCA knobs. Speaker grille on front is in great condition as well as grille cloth and has RCA Victor nameplate on lower right side. Label on bottom inside with model number, etc. Changes records quite nicely with needle dropping into start in groove and rejects at end of record. The unit will probably polish up to near read more
